SCOPE Survey

A wider view.
Across the mathematical sky.

THE SURVEY APPROACH

The research engine behind SCOPE.

SCOPE Survey is the wide-field research architecture within SCOPE, continually refined to support mathematical reasoning, literature-grounded exploration, and careful assessment of results.

SCOPE Survey drives SCOPE’s mathematical sky survey: seeking useful progress across many questions within bounded research windows and economical inference budgets.

Like a wide-field observing programme, it seeks useful discoveries throughout a broad landscape—not only at its most famous landmarks.

01 / APPROACH

Grounded in literature.

Phase II starts from existing literature to identify concrete, valuable gaps for investigation. Research evidence is retained, and same-model review is explicitly distinguished from independent review. Quality and inference cost are evaluated from observed outcomes.

02 / EXPLORATION

Local work. Global perspective.

The observing cycle identifies a specific gap, screens prior work, attempts a proof or construction, and reviews the outcome. Unproductive directions may be abandoned, while useful evidence and partial insights remain available for further investigation.

03 / REVIEW

A claim is a starting point.

Before publication, the same-model review checks correctness, originality, and value, including equivalent or stronger prior results. Inaccessible potentially covering sources are disclosed. Independent review and formal verification require separate evidence.

Phase II observations are underway from 16 September 2026 UTC. The programme continues to refine its research methods through observed outcomes.

How SCOPE works

Telescope photographs illustrate the observing metaphor. SCOPE is independent of the pictured observatories and space missions; no affiliation or endorsement is implied.
